Role Overview As a Delivery Lead at Canvas Reply, you will be ensuring your team's velocity is tracking against total scope and you are keeping the team 'on track' for delivery timelines. You will also need to retain a high-level awareness of budget/scope/timelines and work with the Delivery lead to ensure this is managed & communicated to senior stakeholders. You will be providing help and guidance to the team and ensure proper process is followed for promoting code from lower development environments, all the way through to production.
Tasks
Having a high-level awareness of budget/scope/timelines, resource management, understanding gaps of skills/capability in the team
Keeping track of team performance (forecast vs actual velocity, etc), communicating as well as release burnups, metrics for defect management, etc & communicating these to senior stakeholders
Fostering a continual improvement mentality with your direct team and within wider program engagements and resolving blockers for the team
Release management will be part of your responsibilities, w hile technical leads & engineering managers will largely be responsible for this, we will need someone to be the 'glue' to ensure the process is followed, and the team is all pointing in the same direction, especially with regards to prioritising workload if/when issues arise
As the scrum master will be running scrum teams that will likely be iteratively releasing code into production environments, they will need your help to guide the team and ensure proper process is followed for promoting code from lower development environments, all the way through to production
You will be helping to prioritise the backlog - this requires not only understanding priorities but understanding the requirements enough to help the PO's / BA's with their job, in addition to being the conduit between other scrum teams, ensuring dependencies are planned & managed
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience, if you have that experience from a consultancy or agency that is a plus
This role requires you to be degree qualified with a minimum of a 2:1 classification in a Business or IT subject
Having an impeccable attention to detail and great communication skills is necessary
Experience from consultancy or agency preferred
