Job Description - Demand Planner

Overview

An experienced Demand Planner is required to join a dynamic organisation based in Basingstoke. This role involves overseeing core operational areas including inventory management, purchasing, and quality control. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting and forward planning of stock, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet business demands.

In addition, the role will include the production of detailed reports to support operational decisions and maintain efficiency across the supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong organisational and analytical skills, looking to contribute to a fast-paced and supportive working environment.

This is a full-time, office based role working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report monthly stock movement to Head Office
  • Manage order placements with Head Office and suppliers
  • Collaborate with the sales team to gather demand forecasts and ensure accurate stock planning
  • Liaise with internal departments (artwork, operations) to track and follow up on order details
  • Coordinate with factories, suppliers, and global offices as necessary
  • Oversee and manage transfer shipments between multiple locations to ensure timely delivery
  • Run and review inventory reports to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Maintain accurate item data and product information on internal systems
  • Create and update technical documentation such as: Test Reports, Bill of Materials (BoM), Declaration of Conformity, technical files
  • Collaborate with product development and warehouse teams to ensure product quality
  • Investigate and report any quality issues to factories and stakeholders

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable working with data and inventory systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
