We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established global manufacturing business for an experienced Demand Planner to join their expanding Supply Chain team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative planning function where you'll play a key role in balancing customer demand, production capacity and material availability. Working closely with Customer Service, Production, Operations and Supply Chain, you'll ensure production schedules are achievable, customer expectations are met and manufacturing runs efficiently.
This role would suit someone with previous production planning, production scheduling or demand planning experience within a manufacturing environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative business. You'll be given the support to get up to speed, whilst having the autonomy to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities for a Demand Planner:
* Produce and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand whilst balancing capacity and material availability.
* Review customer orders and agree achievable delivery dates.
* Convert customer demand into realistic production plans for the manufacturing operation.
* Monitor production progress and adjust schedules where required.
* Work closely with Production, Customer Service and Operations to ensure plans remain on track.
* Use MRP/SAP systems to manage material requirements and inventory.
* Maintain effective stock levels across raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
* Communicate any risks or delays proactively to internal stakeholders and key customers.
* Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills for a Demand Planner:
* Previous experience as a Demand Planner, Production Planner, Production Scheduler or Supply Chain Planner.
* Manufacturing experience is essential.
* Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
* Experience working with MRP or ERP systems (SAP advantageous).
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work across multiple departments and directly with customers.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise changing workloads.
* A proactive, outgoing and collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to build relationships across Production, Customer Service, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
* Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
