Job Description – Qualified Dental Nurse

Hours: 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday) 

Total: 30–33 hours per week 

Salary: £17 per hour Experience: Minimum 2 years (post‑qualification)

About the Role

We are looking for a confident and experienced Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is patient‑focused, organised, and able to support both clinical and reception duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance for dentists and clinicians
• Preparing surgeries and maintaining high standards of cross‑infection control
• Sterilisation and decontamination of instruments
• Updating patient records and ensuring accurate documentation
• Supporting reception when needed (booking appointments, handling enquiries, patient check‑ins)
• Ensuring smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice
• Adhering to CQC and practice policies at all times

Requirements

• Fully qualified and GDC‑registered Dental Nurse
• Minimum 2 years' experience
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Professional, friendly, and patient‑centred approach
• Reception experience preferred (not essential)
• Confident using practice software and general IT systems
