We’re searching for a top-tier professional to join our team as a Depot Controller who take responsibility for all rail movements throughout our manufacturing facility and will lead a small team of experts tasked with ensuring that rail movements are always carried out safely and efficiently.

Taking responsibility for all rail movements throughout our manufacturing facility
Leading a small team of experts to ensure safe and efficient rail movements involving single cars, partial trains, or full trains
Developing and maintaining procedures for rail movements, including risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and rail-specific standard documents
Mapping and managing interfaces with both internal and external parties to ensure safety and professionalism at all times
Your success will be grounded by …
Proven experience managing small teams and working collaboratively across different levels of a business
Expert knowledge of rail operations within private facilities, depots, or yards, and a strong understanding of the wider UK rail network
Previous roles such as Rail Traffic Controller, Person in Charge, or Appointed Person within a rail environment
Demonstrated ability in writing rail-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and permits for rail activities
A solid understanding of P-Way operations, signalling principles, and Network Rail activities and standards
Strong communication skills, including the use of hand signals, along with proficient computer literacy and a valid Sentinel PTS certification
