Join a leading independent, family-owned dairy established in 1938 as our Depot Manager in North Wales. We are dedicated to supporting local farmers and communities by delivering the freshest, finest quality products and first-class customer service. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of the North Wales Depot operations, ensuring effective people management, development, site leadership, and excellent customer service within the operational budget.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, focusing on food safety, tachograph compliance, drivers' hours, and maintenance schedules for Fleet and MHE.
• Provide a safe working environment, collaborating with the Health and Safety Officer to enhance health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Drive controlled profitable growth by managing budgets and costs effectively, focusing on KPIs and target achievement.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, define critical success factors, and drive strategic sales through defined routes to market.
• Engage in the commercial process, including service definition, product development, promotions, contract negotiations, and building strong customer relationships.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manage all cash handling and payment processes.
• Oversee stock/product ordering, stocktaking, auditing, and discrepancy analysis.
• Apply LEAN Management principles to increase efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Set clear goals for team members, recognize performance, manage underperformance, and facilitate career progression opportunities.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and maximize business opportunities while minimizing risks.
• Drive operational efficiencies and contribute to business growth by collaborating with other business stakeholders.
• Attend management meetings at the head office and other locations as required.

• Strong passion for service with a customer-focused approach.
• Coaching and supportive leadership style, capable of motivating staff to drive performance.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health & Safety.
• Proven experience in budget management and achieving cost and service targets.

• Excellent time management skills, able to thrive under pressure.
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good numeracy, verbal, and written skills, educated to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent.
