Carlsberg Marstons Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marstons PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.
Due to an internal move, we are now recruiting for a Depot Manager to join our Cardiff depot and continue leading the successful operational performance and Health and Safety standards as we approach 3 years with no LTAs onsite! This role will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a complex warehouse and logistics process to meet the service levels required within budget costs.
Key Accountabilities:
People management including but not limited to, regular one to one meetings in line with the companys development cycle and expectations, carrying out investigations and disciplinary hearings and completion of all relevant documents and delegating tasks accordingly to suit the desired site objectives.
Responsible for the Health & Safety of the depot operations & people including visitors and contractors.
Continuing with the forward movement of the depot including improvement through standardising ways of working in line with the company expectations of Customer Service Levels.
Managing financial budget (OPEX and CAPEX) and build annual plans agreed by stakeholders.
Continuously improving and developing operational depot performance.
Maintain effective employee and union relations.
Develop capability of teams and individuals including Succession Planning and Performance Management.
Responsibility for complex warehouse and logistics process covering incoming goods planning and receipt, warehousing, pick, pack, and distribution.
Collaboratively working with our fleet teams to main the highest standards on our fleet vehicles, ensuring that all regulations relating to vehicles, within the scope of the goods vehicles licensing of operators act are adhered to.
Responsibility for maintaining legal compliance of the vehicle fleet (O-Licence).
Manage the site within Logistics KPIs established by our customers.
Experience and Key Attributes:
Experience of working within a network where depots are interdependent on other depots for the movement of stock to meet Customer Orders and maintain stock levels.
Transport Manager National CPC, essential.
Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent, desirable
IOSH certification or equivalent, desirable
Experience in Distribution, Warehouse and Stock Management environments.
Experience managing change involving people, processes, and procedures.
Thrives on ownership, action orientated, and results driven.
