Depot Manager - Felixstowe

My client is a leading provider of commercial vehicle and trailer rental solutions. They have been a trusted haulage partner for businesses across the UK for many years, offering a tailored, flexible truck and trailer rental solutions.

They are seeking a skilled Depot Manager who has the ability to manage the vehicle maintenance, cost and compliance operations for their fleet.

Responsibility:

About you:

You will need to be a self-starter, motivated and an excellent communicator.

You will also need to be experienced in commercial vehicle rentals and with a sales and operations background.

Responsibilities:

• Management of a busy depot
• Sales
• Staff management, recruitment, training and health and safety
• Vehicle management
• Maintenance / workshop management

Duties:

• To ensure the smooth running of the Depot and the thorough management of equipment, personnel and processes.
• To manage all fleet compliance issues and Procedures
• Ensuring all customer requests, enquiries and queries are dealt with in an efficient, personable and professional manner
• Providing accurate costings to the customer
• Demonstrating strong communication skills to deal with customers and employees at all levels of the business
• Processing Hire contracts and ensuring all documentation is accurate
• Arranging delivery and collection of orders in accordance with the customer’s
• Suggest and implement process improvements

Full time position 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 1 hour for lunch and every third Saturday 8am to 12pm

Competitive Salary: commission and company car dependent upon experience.
