We’re recruiting a hands‑on Depot Operations Lead to run yard, washbay and workshop operations for a major supplier of site welfare and consumables. Your role is keeping the depot safe, efficient and delivering on time, every time.

The Role

Lead the operational team, drive safety and quality, and ensure all products are processed, prepared and delivered in‑full to customers.

Key Responsibilities (Condensed)

• Run daily depot operations across yard, washbay and workshop
  
  


• Maintain a safe working environment and strong housekeeping
  
  


• Ensure high stock quality and PDIs completed correctly and on time
  
  


• Embed 5S/Lean processes and support continuous improvement
  
  


• Manage returned fleet, capture damages and process charges
  
  


• Process orders through BCA/Insphire with accurate asset control
  
  


• Plan workloads, direct the team and coordinate with transport
  
  


• Provide clear updates on stock, deliveries and fleet standards
  
  


• Control overtime and support stock/consumable management
  
  


• Lead and coach the operational team
  
  

What You Need

• Line management experience
  
  


• Plant/hire industry background is preferred
  
  


• H&S awareness + operator certification (CPCS, FLT etc.) are desirable
  
  


• Customer‑focused mindset and strong communication skills
  
  

Salary: £38,000

Hours: Mon–Thu 07:45–16:30, Fri 07:00–15:30
