Deputy Home Manager – £30,000 | Residential Care | Learning Disabilities

Our client is seeking a compassionate, confident, and committed Deputy Home Manager to support the running of a vibrant residential care home for people with learning disabilities. The service provides personalised care within a homely and stimulating setting, with excellent leisure and therapy facilities to promote wellbeing and independence. The Deputy Home Manager will play a key role in supporting the team and ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
This full-time role is 40 hours per week, primarily worked between 9:00am and 5:00pm, but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service and residents.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or above)
Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a residential or supported living setting
Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
A caring and flexible approach with a commitment to empowering others

Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
Lead, coach, and support a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred support
Promote a positive, engaging, and therapeutic environment
Ensure care plans and risk assessments are up to date and in line with CQC standards
Champion safeguarding, dignity, and residents' rights at all times
Assist with rota planning, staff supervision, and team development
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
Act as a role model for best practice in learning disability care
