Deputy Manager

An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Deputy Manager based in Northwest London within a Children and Young Adults service to manage day-to-day operations to achieve positive outcomes for children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Location: Northwest London

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week including regular weekend working

Salary: £31,000 per annum

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the weekend and holiday clubs
• Lead and supervise staff, including permanent and sessional special needs playworkers
• Deliver engaging, varied, and inclusive activities for autistic children and young adults, those with learning disabilities, ADHD, and complex needs
• Support staff in implementing Positive Behaviour Support and responding appropriately to distressed behaviours
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans tailored to everyone
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are always followed
• Communicate professionally with families, schools, and other external professionals
• Manage rotas and team hours, oversee session outcomes, and support Ofsted compliance

The successful candidate will have:

• Understand child development and SEND
• Experience in budget management and financial oversight
• A full UK driving licence is desirable
