Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker looking for the next step in your career?
My client is seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the opening and development of a new 3-bed children's home in South Norwood for young people aged 8–18 with learning disabilities and additional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone ambitious, child-focused, and looking to progress towards a Registered Manager position within a supportive and growing organisation.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager and a Responsible Individual to help lead the home, support the staff team, and ensure outstanding care is delivered to children and young people.
You will play a key role in:
Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
Leading and motivating staff teams
Promoting safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people
Supporting care planning and risk management
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
Helping develop a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environment
Assisting with staff supervision, training, and development
Preparing for and supporting Ofsted inspections
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who have:
At least 2 years' experience within a children's residential setting
Experience in a Senior or Deputy role
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for supporting children with learning disabilities and additional needs
Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
A desire to progress into a Registered Manager role
