 Deputy Manager – Learning Disabilities

Location: Chester
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a growing specialist care provider as they prepare to launch a brand-new 6-bed Learning Disabilities service in Chester.

The service will support individuals with complex Learning Disabilities, providing high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive residential environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in building and developing a new service from the ground up.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of care and support staff

  • Ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support

  • Support the delivery of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures

  • Promote positive outcomes for individuals with complex Learning Disabilities

  • Monitor staff performance, conduct supervisions, and support professional development

  • Ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and organisational policies

  • Support the mobilisation and successful launch of the new 6-bed service

  • Act as a strong role model for the wider care team



 

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with individuals with complex Learning Disabilities

  • Experience supervising or managing care/support staff

  • Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding

  • Confident leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to support a team in a busy and evolving environment

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable

  • Senior Support Workers ready to take their next career step are encouraged to apply
