An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a growing specialist care provider as they prepare to launch a brand-new 6-bed Learning Disabilities service in Chester.
The service will support individuals with complex Learning Disabilities, providing high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive residential environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in building and developing a new service from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service
Lead, supervise, and develop a team of care and support staff
Ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support
Support the delivery of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
Promote positive outcomes for individuals with complex Learning Disabilities
Monitor staff performance, conduct supervisions, and support professional development
Ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and organisational policies
Support the mobilisation and successful launch of the new 6-bed service
Act as a strong role model for the wider care team
Requirements
Previous experience working with individuals with complex Learning Disabilities
Experience supervising or managing care/support staff
Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
Confident leadership and communication skills
Ability to support a team in a busy and evolving environment
Experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable
