We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a well-established domiciliary care branch in Sunderland, currently delivering just under 1,000 care hours per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong care professional to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager while helping to drive quality, compliance and continued growth.
About the Role
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service Help maintain high standards of quality and compliance with CQC regulations Lead, support and develop the care and office teams Oversee care planning, assessments, reviews and risk management Support with safeguarding concerns, incidents and investigations Assist with recruitment, training, supervision and performance management Monitor quality through audits, spot checks and service reviews Build strong relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals Support the continued growth and development of the branch Take responsibility for the service in the Registered Manager's absence Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, quality and person-centred care
Requirements
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Team Manager or Senior within domiciliary/home care Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance Experience leading and supporting care teams Strong knowledge of care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive and hands-on approach to management Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care would be desirable, although not essential Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
