Phillips1924 Homecare Services Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to help operate and develop our growing Wales office and domiciliary care service.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in health and social care who is looking to develop their leadership and management skills, with the potential to progress to Registered Manager.
Career Progression
Following successful completion of your probationary period and demonstrating the required leadership, management and regulatory competencies, you may be considered for progression to Registered Manager.
Progression will be subject to suitability, performance and meeting the relevant Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and Social Care Wales requirements.
Important Requirement
You must currently be registered with Social Care Wales to apply for this position. We are unable to wait for an applicant to complete their registration.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation and development of our Wales service. Working closely with senior management, you will support care delivery, staff management, rotas, recruitment, care plans, safeguarding, quality assurance and compliance.
You will also support the management of staff, respond to operational issues, monitor training and performance, assist with audits and complaints, and help ensure the service meets CIW requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, confident and passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You should have experience within health and social care, ideally in domiciliary care or another regulated care environment, with experience supporting or supervising staff.
You will need good communication and organisational skills, the ability to work independently, use your initiative and remain calm under pressure. A good understanding of safeguarding, care planning and risk assessments is essential.
A Level 3 or above Health & Social Care qualification, previous management experience and knowledge of CIW requirements are desirable.
A valid UK driving licence is required.
