We are proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding care provider for children and young people, currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for one of their established children's homes in Telford. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate organisation specialising in supporting young people who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and who may present with challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the team to deliver high-quality care to young people
Communicate effectively with the team regarding daily plans and priorities
Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with company policies and procedures
Review care plans and associated documentation to ensure up-to-date, person-centred planning
Undertake in-depth, quality bespoke training programmes
Attend and chair staff meetings, contributing to the development and improvement of the service model
Act as an advocate for young people, using a positive parenting approach
Support young people using positive support strategies, including de-escalation techniques (PRICE training provided)
Provide day-to-day support to the Registered Manager and run the home in their absence
Complete on-call duties as required
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential)
Preparedness to work towards Diploma Level 5 in Children's Residential Care
Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
Strong understanding of current legislation, including Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Exceptional communication skills and ability to positively role model for staff and young people
Full UK manual driving licence
Fully flexible with the ability to work unsociable shift patterns
Open-minded, empathetic, calm, and professional approach
Desire and ambition to develop into a Registered Manager role
