Job Description - Deputy Manager - Childrens Residential Home

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a supportive team in a children’s home that’s truly focused on making a positive and lasting difference in young people’s lives. Salary: £32,500 – £36,000 (based on experience and qualifications) Location: Stoke-On-Trent (ST7) Hours: Full-time

What you’ll do:
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
Support and lead a team of residential care staff
Supervise staff, lead shifts, and ensure children’s care and placement plans are followed
Oversee risk assessments, rotas, and day-to-day operations
Safeguard children and promote their wellbeing at all times
Help children develop life skills, build self-esteem, and prepare for adulthood
What we’re looking for:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in children’s residential care
Aged 22+ (in line with children’s home regulations)
Full UK driving licence
