Your Role
as Deputy Manager (Learning Disability Children’s Homes)

Working
alongside the Registered Manager, you will support the leadership of the home,
ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can
succeed.

You will
support the Registered Manager with service setup, including Ofsted
registration, recruitment, and embedding a strong, child -centred culture from
the outset.

You will
work within a well -established support network including HR, QA, Psychology,
Education, IT, Finance, and experienced peers across the organisation.

Key
Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in a
    safe, nurturing environment

  • Assist in the day -to -day management of the home, ensuring
    compliance and high -quality care

  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff, including supervision and rota
    management

  • Promote a strong child -centred culture and consistent care
    standards

  • Support recruitment, training, and ongoing team development
  • Assist with Ofsted registration, service mobilisation, and building
    a new team culture

  • Deputise for the Registered Manager and provide leadership across
    shifts

  • Work collaboratively with multi -agency partners to advocate for
    young people and drive exceptional outcomes



Requirements

Our Ideal
Candidate Will Have

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to
    achieve within 2 years)

  • Experience within residential or social care settings
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and relevant
    legislation

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities, Autism,
    and complex needs

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, including deputising
    when required

  • Confident in multi -agency working and advocating for young people
  • Compassionate,
    resilient, and values -driven with an aspirational approach to outcomes
