As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll help lead a committed team to deliver a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where children can flourish. You’ll also assist in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development, and ensuring strong relationships with families.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)

• Previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.

• Sound understanding of early years frameworks, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures

• A confident communicator who enjoys supporting a team and leading by example

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, delivering, and maintaining a high-quality early years provision

• Support the creation of a safe, secure, and enriching environment for children to grow and learn

• Deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager, overseeing daily operations including staffing, ratios, and compliance

• Support staff supervision, training, and development to promote best practices across the team

• Help maintain Ofsted standards, contributing to continuous improvement and quality assurance

• Build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers, encouraging engagement and regular communication

• Assist with safeguarding procedures, ensuring all children’s wellbeing is a top priority
