Deputy Nursery Manager
Salary: Up to £31,600
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of their welcoming and inclusive nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early years professional ready to step into a leadership role while still working closely with children aged 0–5.
Set within a beautifully designed setting featuring age-appropriate rooms and a dedicated outdoor play area, the nursery encourages exploration, creativity, and child-led learning. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care and education.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 in Early Years (or equivalent)
Significant experience in a nursery or early years setting, with some leadership responsibilities
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
A commitment to high standards and inclusive practice

Key Responsibilities
Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery and act as the designated lead in their absence
Lead and mentor staff, ensuring high standards of practice across the team
Oversee planning and delivery of EYFS-based learning and care
Monitor and assess children’s progress, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective communication with families
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
Support staff development through coaching, training, and reflective practice
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals
