Hours: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nursery Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our client’s vibrant and nurturing nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional care and education, while leading and inspiring a team.

As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained across the setting. You will play a key role in staff supervision, curriculum planning, and ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role within an early years setting.

  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding childcare and supporting team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in leading the staff team and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and professional environment.

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Provide high-quality care and education to all children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager’s absence.

  • Monitor staff performance, support ongoing training and development, and contribute to team appraisals.

  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation.

  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
