Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £38,000
Our client is looking for an experienced early years professional to step into the role of Deputy Nursery Manager at their thoughtfully designed, light-filled nursery.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager, the Deputy Manager will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading a team of practitioners to provide high-quality care and early education in line with the EYFS framework. The service is proud of its welcoming environment, where each child is seen as an individual and staff are supported to thrive.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above) – essential
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, or a very experienced Room Leader/Third in Charge looking to step up
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted expectations
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Passionate about early years education and committed to continuous improvement
A positive, hands-on approach and a genuine love for working with children

Key Responsibilities
Support the overall management of the nursery and step in during the Manager’s absence
Lead by example to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
Mentor and support staff, helping to develop their confidence and skills
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, encouraging open and positive communication
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards
Contribute to planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
Play an active role in staff recruitment, inductions, and training
