Deputy Care Home Manager Lymington, Hampshire £55,000 per annum Permanent, Full-Time
A well-established and highly regarded nursing home in Hampshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Care Home Manager (Nursing) to support the Home Manager in delivering outstanding standards of care and clinical excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC-registered nurse with previous leadership experience within a nursing home environment to join a resident-focused organisation committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
The Role
As Deputy Manager (Clinical), you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant operation of the service. You will provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, helping to maintain exceptional care standards while supporting the overall management of the home.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the day-to-day management of the nursing home
* Leading and mentoring nursing and care staff
* Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practice guidelines
* Conducting clinical audits and quality assurance checks
* Reviewing and updating care plans
* Overseeing medication management and clinical governance
* Supporting pre-admission assessments and resident reviews
* Building strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
* Acting in the Home Manager's absence when required
Requirements
* Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or senior nursing professional within a care home setting
* Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
* Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
* Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults
* A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
