Job Description - Deputy Operations Manager

Monster Group (UK) Ltd: UK Deputy Operations Manager
Due to our phenomenal growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a UK Deputy Operations Manager to join our management team based in Scunthorpe. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations & Supply Chain, you will ensure all current and future warehouses are maximising capabilities, operating efficiently, and delivering world-class service.

Your Role:
UK Warehouse and Operations Management:

Oversee the UK warehouse and operations, including the goods in and out department and Technical Services department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all functions.
Strategic Operational Support and Development:

Oversee and develop high-level strategies for warehousing and operations. Maximise in-house Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities for streamlined operations. Ensure Monster distribution processes are technologically advanced and competitive.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Management:

Lead and inspire a diverse warehouse team to ensure processes meet KPIs such as on-time dispatch, returns processing, and stock control. Empower and develop the team through high-performance management and cross-departmental coordination. Supervise and support employees to ensure task accuracy and timeliness.
Process Improvement and Resource Management:

Identify and implement high-impact process improvements to enhance overall productivity and quality. Manage personnel, equipment, and materials to meet production targets efficiently and maximise the commerciality of operations.
High-Level Returns and Repairs Oversight:

Provide strategic oversight for the returns and repairs department to ensure efficient processing and consistency across all warehouses. Implement best practices and advanced systems to handle returns and repairs effectively.
Comprehensive Goods Handling Oversight : Oversee goods in, goods out, returns, and repairs functions for operational consistency and strategic alignment across all warehouses.
Compliance, Safety, and Stakeholder Engagement:

Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Maintain and develop high-level relationships with couriers for service delivery excellence and system integration. Communicate with senior management, clients, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Site Maintenance and Strategic Development:

Oversee site maintenance, utilities, and strategic development of current distribution centres. Lead and oversee the commissioning and strategic integration of new distribution centres.
Project and Budget Management:

Lead or participate in high-impact projects to enhance operational efficiency and implement innovative processes. Assist in budget preparation and management, ensuring financial constraints are met.
Performance Monitoring and Strategic Reporting:

Track and analyse operational performance metrics to make strategic, data-driven decisions. Prepare and present regular high-level reports on performance, issues, and improvements to senior management.
Advanced Problem Solving:

Address and resolve complex operational issues promptly to minimise business disruption.
Skills We Love:
Ideally have experience with Orderwise; our warehouse management system (or similar platform).
Strong commercial awareness to understand how operations can impact the business.
Ideally have experience with marketplaces, such as Amazon.

Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (37.5 hours per week). You will be primarily based at our Scunthorpe distribution centre with regular travel to our Head Office near York too. Frequent trips (approximately Quarterly) to our EU sites in Venlo will also be required, as well as to any other warehouses that we may acquire in the future.
