Deputy Residential Home Manager – 3 Month Contract

Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home.
  
  


• Lead, supervise, and mentor residential care staff.
  
  


• Conduct regular staff supervisions and contribute to their development and performance management.

• Monitor the safety, welfare, and outcomes of children and young people.

• Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints effectively.
  
  


• Support recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
  
  


• Maintain accurate records and ensure high-standard documentation.

• Participate in management on-call duties.

• Assist with preparation for Ofsted inspections.
  
  


• Foster a positive, nurturing culture within the home.
  
  

Essential

• Experience in a Children's Residential Care setting.
  
  


• Experience in supervising or managing residential childcare staff.
  
  


• Strong understanding of:

• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
  
  


• Enhanced DBS Certificate.

• DVLA Check Required prior to commencement.
  
  


• Travel in a work vehicle may be necessary for activities such as school pick-ups and appointments.
  
  


• While primarily based at the residential home, some flexible home working may be available as service needs allow.
