Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join a nurturing and vibrant nursery setting that feels like a home away from home. Supporting children aged 0–5, our nursery offers spacious, age-specific rooms and a large garden designed for exploration and play-based learning.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years

• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures

• Proven experience in early years education, with leadership potential or previous supervisory experience

• A caring, proactive, and team-oriented approach

About the Role

• Assisting in the day-to-day management of the room and staff team

• Acting as a Key Person, building strong bonds with children and families

• Supporting planning and delivery of engaging, EYFS-aligned activities

• Leading in the absence of the Room Leader, ensuring smooth operations

• Monitoring children’s development through observations and assessments

• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

• Upholding safeguarding and health & safety standards

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
