Deputy Ward Manager – Acute Mental Health Services
Private Mental Health Hospital – East Sussex
£43,014 – £46,314 DOE
Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Set in a peaceful rural setting, this private hospital provides a range of mental health inpatient services for both male and female adults, offering therapeutic care in a calm and well-resourced environment. The team is passionate about delivering safe, person-centred, and recovery-focused support—now seeking a proactive Deputy Ward Manager to help lead one of their acute wards.

What you’ll be doing as a Deputy Ward Manager:

Supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day coordination of the ward
Leading by example to uphold high standards of care and team development
Promoting a therapeutic ward culture and safe environment for all
Ensuring robust care planning, risk assessment, and clinical governance
Taking an active role in audits, quality initiatives, and staff mentoring

The ideal candidate will have:

Registered Nurse ( RMN / RNLD / RGN ) with current NMC pin
Experience in mental health care, ideally within an inpatient setting
Previous senior nurse or leadership experience
Strong clinical skills, clear communication, and a compassionate approach
