Deputy Ward Manager role overview:

• Deliver patient-centred care, ensuring both mental and physical well-being.
• Act as a leader and mentor, providing guidance to junior staff and fellow Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ).
• Work effectively within a Multi-Disciplinary Team, fostering strong collaboration in care planning.
• Engage in continuous professional development, supervision, and appraisal.
• Assist in recruitment and retention, ensuring a skilled and dedicated nursing workforce.

Skills & qualifications required:

• Experience in care planning, risk assessments, and report writing relevant to mental health nursing.
• Strong understanding of Mental Health Act legislation and statutory care requirements.
• Proven ability to lead shifts, coordinate staffing, and support team development.
• Commitment to mentoring junior Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ) and enhancing clinical practice.
