About the Design & Technology Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join our successful department. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on inspiring students through engaging lessons and practical learning.

Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver challenging, creative, and hands-on Design & Technology lessons that inspire and engage students.


• Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.


• Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date.


• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.


• Participate in extracurricular activities related to Design & Technology, including clubs and workshops.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


• A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.


• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level, ideally including practical applications.


• A strong understanding of the UK curriculum and exam specifications.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
