About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic individual to play a key role in delivering an inspiring Design & Technology curriculum to our bright and motivated students. You will be responsible for:
- Planning, developing, and delivering engaging and stimulating Design & Technology lessons across the Key Stages.
- Fostering a love of design and creation in students, equipping them with practical skills, design thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Design & Technology curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and promotes innovation and creativity.
- Providing effective pastoral care and guidance to students, supporting their academic and personal development.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Design & Technology department and across the wider school community.
About You
- You possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology or a relevant subject area.
- You have a proven track record of success in teaching Design & Technology, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
- You are passionate about the subject and possess a broad knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- You are an engaging and innovative educator who can inspire students to think creatively, solve problems effectively, and work collaboratively.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- You are committed to providing high-quality pastoral care and supporting the emotional and social development of students.
