A thriving secondary school in Windsor is seeking a proactive and skilled Design and Technology Technician to support its vibrant D&T department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to hands-on learning in a creative and forward-thinking educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons in woodwork, metalwork, electronics, and graphics.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and workshop spaces to ensure safety and functionality.
• Support students during practical sessions, offering guidance and supervision.
• Assist with stock control and ordering of materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • Practical experience in a workshop or technical environment.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training.
• Desirable:
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and equipment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
  • Relevant technical qualifications.
