Design Draughtsperson

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Design Draughtsperson to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Aberdeen area.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am -2pm (flexible start and finish times)

Salary: £30K – £45K

Daily Duties –

• Develop accurate representations of product components, assemblies, and systems
• Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings that adhere to industry standards and company guidelines
• Generate technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions
• Ensure all drawings and documents comply with relevant codes and standards
• Manage and update design files e.g. revisions and changes throughout the product lifecycle
• Work closely with Engineers to understand design requirements, specifications, and participate in design reviews

Candidate Requirements –

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with a draughtsperson or design focused role
• Able to create detailed design drawings and technical documents
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
• Knowledge of drafting standards e.g. BS8888
