The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end design processes – from concept through to final delivery. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective designs that meet client specifications and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deliver detailed 3D mechanical designs for complex assemblies and components
• Take full design ownership throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery
• Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, and create supporting documentation and manuals
• Monitor your own design hours and manage design change requests
• Participate in internal and external design reviews
• Ensure accurate data management through design systems and structures

What You’ll Need:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally with hands-on knowledge in automated or engineered systems (conveyor systems would be beneficial)
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Strong mechanical understanding, with familiarity in electrical components such as motors and sensors
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor or similar) and AutoCAD
• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
