Location: Tipton

Salary - £35-45K

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Hybrid working available)

Day to Day Duties:

• Develop innovative design concepts aligned with product specifications and customer requirements
• Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Conduct simulations and tests to validate product performance and recommend improvements
• Build and test prototypes to ensure alignment with design intent
• Collaborate with internal teams including manufacturing, sales, quality assurance and marketing
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, reports and specifications
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement design enhancements
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Essential Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in a design engineering role, ideally within fenestration hardware or a related industry
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D and 3D design
• Strong understanding of simulation and testing methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage design timelines and meet deadlines
• Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in the fenestration industry or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with additional engineering software or tools
• Understanding of value engineering and design optimisation principles

Training:

• Full training and ongoing support will be provided to support your success in the role
