Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 Days WFH)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

We are currently working with a leading provider of steel building solutions to recruit a Design Engineer with strong experience in Tekla Structures. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and innovative team, offering hybrid working and long-term career prospects.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed 3D models and drawings for structural steel projects. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet both technical and regulatory standards.

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver coordinated designs
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and industry standards
• Contribute to the development of efficient and cost-effective design solutions

• Proficient in Tekla Structures with demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of structural steel design and detailing
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related construction field is advantageous
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Hybrid working model: 2 days per week from home
• Office-based in Birmingham for the remaining 3 days
