Role: Graduate Design Engineer

Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to £30,000 per annum + Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 (Early finish on a Friday)

Location: Castle Bromwich

I’m currently representing a leading Engineering company, in the Aerospace / Automotive sector. They’re looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis due to growth in the company.

Graduate Design Engineer
Job Description

Create 3D CAD models and link them into 2D technical drawings, ready for manufacture.

Develop and investigate improvements to expand the link between CAD and FEA analysis, ensuring the product is safe for manufacture.
Enhance product data management, to increase transparency and visibility of all CAD data / files.
Collaborating with different departments within the company for best design intent such as material development.

Working to tight tolerances (GD&T), always ensuring high accuracy and detail of CAD designs.

Graduate Design Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Holds a degree (BEng and Msc) in Aerospace / Automotive / Mechanical Engineering or similar
Relevant design (CAD) experience within the engineering industry (desired)
Good problem solver
Has a ‘Can-do’ attitude
Willingness to learn
