We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on developing integrated electro-mechanical control solutions.
You'll play a key role in the design and development, working across the full product development lifecycle from concept through to validation and launch.
As a Design Engineer, you will work within a collaborative engineering team delivering new product development and value engineering projects. You will contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of electromechanical and controls-based solutions, helping bring innovative products to market while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electromechanical products.
* Generate and present innovative design concepts, translating ideas into practical engineering solutions.
* Support multiple new product development and value engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
* Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and sales teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Provide technical support for product-related enquiries and site-based issues.
* Produce and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation.
* Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and related engineering processes to ensure robust product design.
* Support prototype development, testing, validation, and performance evaluation activities.
About You We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and developing innovative solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Relevant Qualifications OR equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
* Experience in electromechanical product design and development.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as castings, machined components, and plastic mouldings.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo/Pro Engineer preferred, but open).
* Understanding of controls systems and integrated electromechanical solutions.
* Experience working within structured product development environments.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
