Steelwork & Fabrication Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £47,000 | Monday-Friday | 42 hours | 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

We're looking for an experienced Steelwork & Fabrication Design Engineer to join an established engineering team.

The role will focus on producing fabrication, steelwork, GA and layout drawings, primarily using 2D AutoCAD, with 3D modelling required for more complex projects.

Key Requirements

Strong experience designing for steel fabrication and installation

Proven ability to produce detailed fabrication and steelwork drawings

Good working knowledge of AutoCAD

Understanding of fabrication methods, materials and site installation

Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND) or equivalent experience

Experience working with fabricators, subcontractors and site teams

The role will include occasional site surveys, liaising with customers and fabricators, and developing designs from initial requirements through to fabrication and installation.
