We are looking for a Design Engineer

to design and develop new and existing products to support our business. As part of the design team, you will be supporting the Sales team and the expansion of our business through liaising with external customers, internal departments and other Piolax sites.
This is an interesting and varied role, and you will meet some great people along the way.
What are some of the things I will be doing?
Development and modification of existing products to suit new customers and new applications.
Working within the guidelines of Piolax Engineering Standards and Customer specifications.
Use of Catia to create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for use within the business.
Feasibility studies of new ideas from customers and internal departments.
Visiting customers with the sales team to promote products and new business.
Investigation and benchmarking of competitor products.
Discussion and negotiations with customers.
Support internal departments in problem solving.
What do I need to have?
Engineering Degree or in a related subject.
High level capability in the use of 3D CAD design tools.
To be creative and contribute towards innovative designs.
Customer facing.
Minimum 1 year experience in an engineering, design and development environment.
It would be even better if you have:
CATIA experience preferred but others CAD packages considered.
Automotive Supplier Experience.
Design of injection moulded parts.
To be able to travel overseas for short periods.
Second language (French or German) to communicate effectively with overseas customers on technical matters.
FEA experience to utilise in-house design tools.
