As a driven Design Engineer at MTD you will work from our UK based office in Swindon. Together with the rest of the Engineering & Design department you focus on excellent project
preparation/drawings
of our one of a kind temporary water infrastructure. Most of the Engineering & Design department is based in our head office in Tilburg, The Netherlands. We work worldwide on the largest projects in the event industry such as Tomorrowland, Sziget, Lowlands, Olympic Games, World Championship competitions and Formula 1. How cool to play a crucial part in the success of these events, especially for the UK?!
After a thorough training, you will be creating and adapting designs in response to our customers wishes. You work closely with our project managers, operations and sales and you can count on support from your direct colleagues/manager in the E&D department.
Job content
You are the linking pin between the Sales and Operations department. After receiving an order (via our Sales Department), you will ensure a smooth and technical project
preparation/calculation
within the agreed deadlines.
Responsible for designing temporary water infrastructure systems tailored to client events/needs
Serve as a key sparring partner for internal and external stakeholders worldwide
Create project calculations and planning
Ensure high-quality project drawings and material planning
Visit potential project locations in the UK
Contribute to improvement projects within the team
You will report to the Manager Engineering & Design, located in the Netherlands.
What makes you the right candidate?
Educational background in civil or mechanical engineering
0 - 4 years of work experience as an engineer, technical planner, mechanical/design engineer
Experience with CAD software is an advantage
Good knowledge in word and writing of the English language
You are a problem solver, analytical and a team player
You have an eye for detail, a hands-on mentality and can think outside the box

Annual contract for 40 hours per week with the prospect of permanent employment
