This well-established UK engineering company designs and builds bespoke electrical control and automation systems for industrial applications. Supplying into manufacturing, process, and infrastructure sectors, they deliver high-quality control panels incorporating PLCs, motor control, and automation technology. Projects range from one-off builds to complex, multi-panel systems supporting large-scale operations. Known for technical expertise and consistent delivery, the business continues to grow across a diverse industrial client base. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical control panel projects, producing detailed schematics and documentation using EPLAN Electric P8 while ensuring full compliance with customer and industry standards. You will take ownership across the project lifecycle, from concept through to testing and commissioning, designing circuits, liaising closely with workshop teams to support builds, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects through to successful completion. This role would suit a Design Engineer with control panel and EPLAN Electric P8 experience, looking to act as the go-to technical expert within a tight-knit team working on bespoke projects. The Role: Design control panels in line with customer and industry standards Produce schematics and documentation using EPLAN or Draftsight Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Provide technical support across the wider business The Person: Experience as an Control Panel Design Engineer Experience with EPLAN or similar CAD software Understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits Full UK driving licence Reference: BBBH25166A Control, Panel, Design, Engineer, Electrical, EPLAN, Draft sight, Panels, MCC, Schematics, Panel Design, Automation, PLC, Wiring, Diagrams, renewables, Newbury, Reading, Berkshire, Basingstoke If you are interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
