Design Intern (12 Months FTC)

Job Description
New Era, the world's leading headwear company is looking for a design intern to work at our European HQ in Milton Keynes to work in assisting our design team. A fantastic opportunity to be part of a design team delivering seasonal collections covering our brand directions of ; Team Sports, Sports Lifestyle and Fashion Lifestyle. In this role you will follow and contribute to the full product creation process from idea development to final product delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Headwear Design team to deliver seasonal collections
• Be involved in the research of the latest sports and fashions trends on our relevant targeted markets
• Assist in the design and development original product ideas
• Create tech packs and product specifications under the direction of the design team
• Create product designs for specific market SMU’s and follow the process from design conception to headwear prototype
• Work closely with senior designer on product creation needs, supporting all areas of the design department
• Help support on any design department projects
Skills and Experience
• Undergraduate or recent graduate in a Design discipline
• Interest in sports/lifestyle apparel and accessories
• Positive attitude, energetic approach and a self-starter are essential
• Must have a proficient understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
