Design Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager to join their team for a contract position working on Severn Trent Water non-infrastructure projects in Tamworth. This opportunity involves managing a team of engineers and contributing to a wide range of projects across AMP8.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure specifications and requirements are met
Developing and reviewing design plans, drawings, and specifications
Ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and time constraints
Providing technical guidance and support to team members
Maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Preparing technical reports and documentation
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil engineering design within the water industry
Strong understanding of mechanical and civil engineering principles
Proficiency in design software and tools
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Relevant engineering qualification
