Based: Birmingham (3-4 days per week)

Area to be covered: London (although can be National)

Remuneration: £55,000 - £65,000neg

The role of the Designer – Sheet Metal will involve:

* Design Management position promoting a range of architectural aluminium systems for residential and commercial projects

* Manage, grow and build an internal team of 3 designers

* May be a requirement to visit projects, which are typically within London although can be national

* Use AutoCAD to develop detailed design specifications for products and projects

* Work closely with clients, architects, project managers and internal teams

* Offer 1st line technical support by telephone, email and occasional site visits

* Support new product launches and exhibitions as and when required

* Review, create and analyse project / product designs

* Manage projects ranging in value up-to £1m+

The ideal applicant will be a Designer – Sheet Metal with:

* Must have Design experience within sheet metal or have experience with architectural aluminium

* Highly advantageous to have existing people management experience although open to a Designer looking to take a step-up

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Understanding of current building regulations

* Strong character that’s not afraid to help the team when necessary

* Confident and articulate
