Design Manager/ Design Lead

Our client, a prominent player in the water industry, is currently seeking an experienced Design Manager/Design Lead to join their team, focusing on Yorkshire Water Wastewater Non Infra AMP8 projects. This is a contract-based position offering full remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively from anywhere. The role is part-time, requiring commitment for 3 days a week and falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the design phase of wastewater non-infra projects under the AMP8 framework.
Overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality civil engineering designs.
Ensuring designs comply with Yorkshire Water standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborating with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Conducting design reviews and providing technical guidance to team members.
Managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met within the specified timeframe.
Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
Maintaining documentation and records in line with industry standards and company policies.

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector.
Strong understanding of wastewater systems and non-infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
