Design Manager - Electrical

To be responsible for all Electrical design and technical aspects of Telecoms Wireless, Special Projects and EV Projects ensuring delivery on budget and to programme.

This will entail effective management of external suppliers together with the ability to communicate effectively with the wider United Living team and business partners.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead a team of skilled Electrical design engineers and CAD technicians, fostering an environment of creativity and professional growth.
• Oversee the development and updating of company Electrical design standards and manage the design process efficiently for all UK based MNOs.
• Being conversant with earthing systems, LV AC equipment, suitable for UK based Mobile wireless Networks for each bespoke design for the ULC projects for which we are engaged.
• Produce comprehensive design packages including LV DNO, AC and SELV DC systems.
• Review, manage and approve all ULC Electrical Designs
• Represent the company in client meetings, projecting a professional image and building strong relationships

• Preferably qualified to C+G 2396 design
• Full Electrical qualifications including DC works on Telecoms projects.
• Exceptional technical knowledge with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
• Be conversant with Modecsoft Cable Calculation tooling
• Excellent communication skills, capable of justifying design decisions and writing clear, concise reports.
