We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

* Plan and deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons

* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4

* Assess, monitor and track student progress

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

* Encourage creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills

* Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour

* Contribute to the wider success of the department and school

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Have experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting

* Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for their subject

* Be committed to raising standards and student achievement

* Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

* Be a motivated and collaborative team player

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
