The Role of a Design Technology Teacher: As a Design Technology Teacher, you will teach students from Key Stage 3 to 5, focusing on product design, engineering, and creative thinking. The Design Technology Teacher will be expected to deliver exciting, hands-on lessons that inspire students to innovate and push their design boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons that challenge students’ creativity and technical skills.


• Lead students through design projects that encourage problem-solving and practical application of their knowledge.


• Collaborate with the DT Department to enhance and expand the curriculum.


• Contribute to school-wide design competitions and extracurricular activities.

Ideal Candidate for Design Technology Teacher:

• A degree in Design Technology or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).


• Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary school level.


• Excellent technical and creative skills.
