• £32,156 – £35,190 actual (term time + 2 weeks)

We are seeking a highly experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our team and lead safeguarding across the school. This is a pivotal role requiring in-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation and extensive experience in managing safeguarding responsibilities at a senior level.

Please note: This role is not suitable for Deputy DSLs seeking their first step up—we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in DSL leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures
• Ensure full compliance with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. KCSIE)
• Coordinate safeguarding training and support for staff across the school
• Liaise with external agencies and act as the main point of contact for safeguarding matters
• Maintain accurate records and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment for all pupils
