Job Description - Desk Side Support IT Analyst

Desk Side Support IT Analyst

Location: Central London

Salary: £35,000 + Paid Overtime

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1 Day a week work from home, Full-Time, Permanent

We are working on behalf of a highly respected, London-based law firm to find an experienced and customer-focused Desk Side Support IT Analyst to join their IT Service team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional, fast-paced environment where your technical expertise and hands-on approach will make a direct impact on the firm’s day-to-day operations.

The Role:

As a key member of the IT Service team, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT support—handling queries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, ensuring timely resolution of issues within agreed SLA targets, and playing an active role in system maintenance and project support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering prompt and effective technical support across a range of devices and platforms.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and application-related issues.
  • Managing service requests and incidents from initiation to resolution.
  • Supporting end users on Windows 7-10, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Providing on-site assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and local networking equipment.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks such as user account and server support.
  • Collaborating with team members and assisting in their development where needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience in an IT support or desk side role, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • A proactive and solution-driven mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies and desktop environments.
  • A confident, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to go the extra mile to support users.
  • Flexible with working hours and available for paid overtime on an on-call rota.
